Jeff Moles Director of Christian Education and Mission

Jeff is an ordained ruling elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and has served the church at local, regional and national levels. For 13 years Jeff, worked in Nashville, Tennessee, at Room In The Inn, a nonprofit serving Nashville’s homeless community. There, he has managed their winter shelter program, working with over 200 faith communities to coordinate educational and outreach efforts with the homeless. He developed educational resources, offered support, and worked to inspire these congregations as they sought to live out their faith by offering hospitality. This work has helped shape Jeff’s passion for social justice and for equipping the church to do the work of loving its neighbors.

Using his skills as a worship leader and musician, Jeff has served three congregations as music director & organist, most recently at Woodland Presbyterian Church in Nashville, a small but growing urban congregation that is experimenting with new models of leadership. He has also served as worship leader at conferences and retreats, and has led worship numerous times for the PCUSA Young Adult Volunteer Program. Jeff has led the Young Adult Advisory Delegate program at the last several General Assemblies, helping to empower young adults to be leaders in the church.

A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, Jeff holds a degree in political science from Indiana State University. He spent a few years of studying organ performance at the Indiana University School of Music where he loved going to performances and being around amazing musicians but did not enjoy practicing or music theory. Jeff enjoys being with friends, being a church nerd, and spending time with his family. He is the very proud uncle of two adorable nieces.
