Jeff has served First Presbyterian Church as Director of Christian Education and Mission since 2019. He also began leading music in worship in 2024.
Prior to coming to Owensboro, Jeff spent 13 years working with Nashville’s homeless community, a career which began with a year of service as a PCUSA Young Adult Volunteer. Serving at Room In The Inn, a nonprofit which provides shelter, education, housing, and other services for people experiencing homelessness, taught Jeff nearly everything he knows.
Jeff is an ordained ruling elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and has served the church at local, regional and national levels. Jeff has served several congregations as music director & organist and has led worship at many conferences and retreats.
A native of Terre Haute, Indiana, Jeff holds a degree in political science from Indiana State University. He spent a few years of studying organ performance at the Indiana University School of Music where he loved going to performances and being around amazing musicians but did not enjoy practicing or music theory. Jeff enjoys being with friends, being a church nerd, and spending time with his family. He is the very proud uncle of three adorable nieces.
