Each year, on the 3rd Saturday of August, First Presbyterian Church welcomes over 2,000 people to its lawn for the Owensboro Multicultural Festival. Our 26th annual festival will occur August 17, 2024, and is free for the whole community. We hope to foster understanding and respect for our similarities and differences so that we may build a stronger community. Follow the most up-to-date information on our Facebook page.
In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic meant that we took the festival online. This virtual experience gives a good taste of the experience our community looks forward to each year.
2023 marked the 25th anniversary of the Multicultural Festival. Winny Lin has written a history of how the festival came to be and grew in the first few years. We are grateful to carry on the legacy of so many people who have contributed to making the festival what it is.
