Come celebrate God’s gift of diversity here in Owensboro!
Each year, on the 3rd Saturday of August, First Presbyterian Church hosts the Owensboro Multicultural Festival. Our 22nd annual Multicultural Festival will occur August 15th, 2020, and is free for the whole community. We hope to foster understanding and respect for our similarities and differences so that we may build a stronger community. Follow up-to-date information on our Facebook page.
Our festival includes entertainment. We present vocal and instrumental music, dance, storytelling, demonstrations, and traditional costume from around the world.
Celebrate Through Education
Our festival showcases informational booths prepared by individuals or groups in the community who are from or who have traveled throughout the world. In the past, we have welcomed representatives from 5 continents, and they are available to talk with patrons about their experiences.
Celebrate Through Food
Our festival includes a food court offering food from around the world. Bring your appetite!
Celebrate With Family
There are many opportunities for children to participate in the festival. Children enjoy watching and participating in the entertainment on stage, doing the festival scavenger hunt and multicultural quiz, and visiting the various cultural booths, many of which bring activities specifically geared toward children.
