On occasion, our congregation puts an extra dose of service in our Sunday morning worship. We gather at our usual time for prayer and communion before being commissioned to participate in a variety of service projects around the city. Our mission committee organizes a good mix of opportunities so that everyone can find a meaningful way to participate.
Past service opportunities include: the Daniel Pitino Shelter, the Help Office, Habitat for Humanity, packing school supplies, baking cookies for fire departments, grounds clean-up for members in need, working at the Botanical Gardens, the Daviess-County Animal Shelter, and singing at assisted living facilities.
