Patrick Ritsch Organist

Patrick Ritsch is a music educator, pianist, and church musician based in Evansville, Indiana.  Currently, he is the Director of Vocal Music at Central High School (EVSC), where he teaches choir, class piano, and is the music director for the school theatre productions.  He also serves as the organist at First Presbyterian Church in Owensboro, Kentucky.  As an active musician in the area, he currently hold the position of Music Director for the theatre departments at the University of Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana, and spends his summers working with New Harmony Theatre, the region’s only professional theatre.  Previous musical direction credits include: Evansville Civic Theatre, Back Alley Musicals, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Harrisburg High School (IL) and Southeastern Illinois College.  In constant demand as a pianist, he has performed with musicians of all varieties, and is currently the pianist for the Bokeh Big Band.  A sometimes composer, Patrick has written two shows for Tales and Scales, a traveling children’s theatre troupe that tells stories through music: Mice!, and Perfect: A Tale of a Different Duck, the latter of which received a performance at the Kravis Center (FL).  Patrick holds a degree in piano and voice, a certificate in sacred music, and a Transition to Teaching certificate, all from the University of Evansville.
