Flavors from Home: Recipes from Our Refugee Community

Our city is home to many people who have settled here after fleeing danger in their home countries. They strengthen our community by bringing diverse cultural perspectives and delicious food from around the world.  The International Center of Kentucky offers a variety of services to ensure that refugees are safe, dignified, and comfortable during their transition to life in Owensboro, Bowling Green, and the surrounding areas.

Recipes and stories from many of these most resilient neighbors have been compiled in the book Flavors from Home: Refugees in Kentucky Share Their Stories and Comfort Foods. The International Center has a few of these dishes to share with us in these videos.
